We tried the product ourselves to see how the product functions and gauge its efficacy. Read our review to find out what we found.

With the world fixated on being their most productive selves, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. High-performance lifestyles are stressful, and we’re in need of help.

Luckily for us, the number of nootropics available has increased within the past couple of years due to high demand. Today, we’ll be reviewing Genius Joy, which has managed to create quite the stir of late.

But does it truly deliver? Let’s find out.

What Is Genius Joy?

Serotonin mood-booster, brain supplement…these are some of the terms often used for nootropics, and Genius Joy hasn’t been spared either. So what is it, really?

Genius Joy is a proprietary, ready-made blend that functions as a mood-booster and enhances one’s ability to focus. It is a natural supplement that provides relief from anxiety and mood-swings and restores the user to a state of calm. The nootropic stack also claims to improve attention span, energy levels, and promote the overall well-being of individuals.

A product of Genius, a company that began operations in September 2015, it has managed to create a definitive impression in the market. Along with Genius Joy, the company has also launched Genius Consciousness and Genius Pre which are two extremely popular supplements in their own rights.

Genius is the brainchild of Mark Post and Robert Oliver, both of whom are professionals in business administration and nutrition who have a strong interest in fitness. Working with a dedicated team of researchers and scientists, the duo has established Genius’ position in the nootropics market as a brand to be trusted.

A blend of 14 ingredients, Genius Joy claims to enhance brain function and cognitive development by working on a number of factors that affect individuals on a daily basis. By reducing stress, it aims to improve memory, focus, and creativity. In addition to that, the stack also facilitates dopamine production and leads to holistic wellness.

Essentially, the focus is on ensuring a balanced cognitive performance with little to no side effects. It’s easy to imagine the lifestyle improvements you can achieve with these kinds of effects. And if the product does what it claims then it’s safe to say that Genius Joy is an option worth checking out.

Who Is Genius Joy For?

In the present day, the beneficiaries of a mood-booster are hardly scarce. However, when it comes to nootropics, it pays to be careful and well-informed. Age, existing physical or neurological conditions, and lifestyles are some of the factors that influence an individual’s reaction to such supplements.

That said, Genius Joy is primarily targeted at anybody who is stressed or experiencing anxiety. We suggest consulting a physician as well as a neurologist before you start taking the supplement as it works on the primary systems of the body.

However, the product must not be consumed by individuals below 18 years of age and pregnant women. Also, diabetic patients and people with high levels of blood sugar are usually at greater risk than others, so, a thorough check-up is essential before opting for Genius Joy.

Our Experience

Having looked up the brand’s reputation and the claims made by the nootropic, our expectations were fairly high. So, our team here at Feel Optimized tried Genius Joy for two weeks to record any boosts in mood and any other perceivable results that the supplement may induce.

Beginning with two pills a day, we soon increased that to four as recommended because many members of the team did not report any significant improvements. To be fair, although the results were not immediate, they certainly developed throughout the course of the day.

A couple of hours into work, team members reported experiencing a significant shift in their moods. Emails were easier to respond to, tight deadlines felt manageable, and the overall tension of the office seemed to have diminished. This was rather surprising, to say the least, and we were pleased with the results.

We must say that the effects were by no means sudden and difficult to deal with; what resulted was a gradual improvement in moods and, consequently, productivity.

In the second week, however, a few of us suffered an upset stomach. A couple of others complained of headaches and slight irritability. But in both cases, the individuals were mildly caffeine-intolerant and prone to digestive issues before taking the supplement.

On the whole, therefore, we think it’s best to first consider existing conditions and only then try Genius Joy. The recommended dosage works well for most people, but crossing that limit will do more harm than good.

Recommended Dosage

If you are new to nootropics, we recommend that you begin by taking one capsule in the morning on an empty stomach.

On assessing your comfort level by lunchtime, it should be safe to take the second pill prior to eating. In both cases, an empty stomach is non-negotiable.

This routine may be continued for up to three days to gauge tolerance. We found the optimum dosage to be two capsules in the morning and two in the afternoon, both times before having food.

On experiencing the slightest discomfort, the supplement must be discontinued immediately. In the case of such problems, we would suggest contacting the company for a full refund. However, if things sail smoothly, continued use over 60 days produces the best results.

After seeing the results, naturally, we were curious to study the stack in detail. So, we got to the core of the product – its ingredients.

Now, it’s not every day that we come across a cognitive supplement so rich in constituents. But our expectations from Genius Joy were high, and it did not disappoint. Outlined below are some of its main ingredients.

1. The Vitamin Blend

As a complete and holistic blend of the essential vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, and D, Genius Joy is a potent energy-booster that is capable of calming your nerves quite effectively. Vitamin B2 is especially significant in improving the rate of oxygen absorption and use in the body, and also promotes overall well-being.

Niacin, or B3, is essential to cognitive functioning. By also controlling cholesterol levels, it helps in maintaining good cardiovascular health, while vitamin B5 monitors the conversion of carbohydrates into usable energy and facilitates the growth of erythrocytes.

Moreover, B6 is an excellent detoxifying agent and B12 helps fight fatigue in individuals. Lastly, it is Vitamin D that is responsible for maintaining bone health and optimum phosphorus levels in the brain.

2. SAM-e

As one of the most important ingredients of Genius Joy, SAM-e performs a few essential functions.

S-Adenosyl Methionine is a naturally occurring substance produced in the liver that significantly reduces levels of anxiety and stress in individuals. Also, SAM-e has been known to act as a mood-lifter as well. However, over time, it diminishes in quantity and must be adequately stored in the body, which is where Genius Joy comes into play.

NALT or N-Acetyl Tyrosine is a bioavailable and potent form of L-Tyrosine. It works well as a catecholamine booster and is useful in combating stress.

4. Rhodiola 5 Plus or Rhodiola Rosea

Another naturally occurring substance, the benefits of Rhodiola are well-known. A part of Rhodiola root extract, it acts as an adaptogen which enables it to function as an anti-stress constituent and facilitates motivation.

5. Red Panax Ginseng

One of the most widely used natural antidepressants, the nootropic is trusted by neurologists and nutritionists alike. It helps individuals successfully overcome fatigue, anxiety, and stress, and is also reliable in treating CFS or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

6. HTPurity

An extract of the Griffonia Simplifica plant that is popular for its ability to facilitate the production of serotonin, HTPurity is remarkable in its functioning. Genius Joy is chock-full of this ingredient and, therefore, well-equipped to act as a mood-booster.

7. NeuroFactor

NeuroFactor is an extract of the Arabica plant and performs a function similar to that of caffeine. However, it is worth noting that Arabica contains half the amount of caffeine found in Robusta, or regular coffee, and is much less likely to cause severe anxiety or heart problems.

8. L-Theanine

The last ingredient contributes significantly to the potency of Genius Joy as a nootropic. Widely used as a constituent in green tea, L-Theanine is exceptional in its calming capability. Particularly a facilitator of alpha brain waves that lower anxiety and energy levels, L-Theanine encourages meditative thinking, whose effect lasts for a considerable period of time. This ingredient is also popular in many other popular nootropics like Qualia Mind, Qualia Focus, & STAQ Performer.

Now that we have broken down Genius Joy into its primary ingredients, it should give you a clearer picture of how it functions.

Side Effects

Having used it for a considerable period of time, we can say that Genius Joy has no side effects that could prove harmful. Some of us did experience a mildly upset stomach but that can be avoided if you stick to the prescribed dosage.

It must be noted that an excess of SAM-e can lead to dizziness, rashes, and even gas troubles. People with a lower body weight must, therefore, consult a doctor before taking Genius Joy.

Moreover, each dose of the mood-booster also contains a sizable amount of caffeine. And those of us who usually have troubled sleep patterns did face the music. Along with disrupted sleep, they also experienced elevated heart rates well throughout the night.

Nootropic supplements are best avoided for those already on psychiatric drugs as their system may not react to the product at all.

At the end of the day, it depends largely on one’s individual body weight, constitution, and metabolism as to how they might react to the nootropic.

Our Thoughts

After much research and deliberation, we feel that Genius Joy is definitely worth trying out. After all, it has no threatening side-effects and significantly reduces stress levels.

However, don’t expect it to drastically improve your overall cognitive well-being from the get-go. Also, do not mistake it for a prescription-grade antidepressant.

Genius Joy contains caffeine which may have counterproductive results in people with anxiety issues. So, barring a few individuals, almost anybody can use it. But don’t just take our word for it. Try it and see for yourself.
